This 1877-S (minted at the Mint in San Francisco)Resumed Variety 4 Seated Liberty Dime was graded at MS-62 (mint state 62 out of a possible 70), and was encased in hard acrylic by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation). The coin has very heavy toning on both the obverse and reverse of the coin, which can be seen in the provided pictures.

 

The Resumed Variety 4 Seated Liberty dime was designed by John Reich, and was minted from 1875-1891. This Variety’s distinguishing characteristic is the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” appear on the obverse. The coins have reeded edges, and were minted at the Philadelphia, New Orleans (defunct), San Francisco, and Carson City (defunct) Mints.
