PCGS 1939 Mercury Dime PR-65
This 1939 proof struck Mercury dime was graded at PR-65 (proof struck 65 out of a possible 70) and encapsulated in a hard acrylic case by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service). On the front , or obverse, of the coin there is some light discoloration or toning in various spots around the rim. These can be seen clearly in the attached pictures. On the back, or reverse, of the coin there is some very light discoloration in a stippling pattern, which can also be seen in the provided picture of the reverse.
The Winged Liberty Head, or Mercury, dime was designed by Adolph A. Weinman. His monogram AW appears to the right of the neck on the obverse of the coin. The coins were minted at the Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver Mints.
